    FAQ

Q: Can apprentice’s take classes like a journeyman while being an apprentice?

A: Yes, an apprentice can take classes that are journeyman level classes. No grant in aid will be received if you are an apprentice and you will not take a seat away from a journeyman. You will be allowed in the class if a seat is available.

Note: Apprentices may receive grants for approved Continuing Education Courses

Foremanship Development Course is Approved for Apprentices

The Toledo Electrical JATC Board of Trustees has determined to make SPECIFIC courses available to apprentices with the criteria of: current year average grade of 80% or above and at applicable apprentice program yearly levels of: 4th or 5th Inside; 3rd or 4rd Residential; or 3rd Voice-Data-Video.

As determined the Toledo Electrical JATC Board of Trustees apprentices are eligible to receive a grant-in-aid for those courses and Section 7 does not apply in Guidelines for Journeyperson Education and Grants-In-Aid.

The Guidelines for Journeyperson Education and Grants-In-Aid have been revised to reflect this JATC determination, specifically section 13. 09/18/2021
